There are so many magical memories that I could share but with Christmas fast approaching I’m remembering all of the amazing Christmas’s spent together most. Nan you were always at the heart of Christmas. I remember Christmas Day me and Vicky would keep checking out the window to see if you had arrived yet in your little green Punto. We were always so excited to spend Christmas with you. I remember you would ages take ages to open your presents and you would unwrap them so carefully to make sure that you savoured the paper. We always said that we would have to start wrapping your presents in tin foil. When me and Vicky were younger you would always spend Christmas afternoon playing with us and our new toys. One year mum and dad had got me Bop it and when you arrived you spent ages trying to beat my high score, I think you were as excited about the present as I was! The last few years we spent Christmas morning with you at Victoria Lodge and it was so special to still have that time with you at Christmas. I’d be so excited Christmas morning to see you and give you your present. Last year me and Vicky made you a memory book, we glued absolutely everything with wood glue because we knew how much you liked to pick at things. Somehow you still found a way, I guess we should have known anything was possible with you Nan! Christmas won’t be the same without you but we promise to celebrate in your memory and I promise to savour the wrapping paper! Love you always Nanny Peg xx
